Name: Trodden Trail (cause he walks everywhere)
Nicknames: Just Trail or Trodden, Young Buck

Age: Young Adult range (Early 20s) looks to be in early teens.

Race: Peryton (Part Deer, Part pagasus)
Sexuality: Colt Cuddler

Birthplace: Neighnaimo on Vanhoover Island. (Nanaimo is where I was born and is on Vancouver Island in BC)

Current Residence: Trottawa, Ontrotio (Ottawa, Ontario)

Personality: Trail is good natured and curious but headstrong and impulsive which gets him into trouble not only with others but in situations as well. He's playful and a bit of a goof at times. Gets frustrated when under stress which affects his work negatively.

Hobbies: Drawing, Writing, Reading, Cooking, Tinkering, Exploring

Special Talent: A Jack of all Trades. He shows promise in many areas of expertise but a master of none. He has a knack for drawing, writing, tinkering, and is surprisingly good at sewing despite it not being one of his hobbies (and frustrating him to no end).

Occupation: Freelancer of the arts

Cutiemark: It's unknown if perytons can get cutie marks but he thinks his should be a jack symbolizing his enthusiasm to learn and master many of the things he enjoys.

Backstory:

Trodden Trail was born in Neighnaimo to his mother, a pegasus, and his father, a stag, premature. As a result of this his left wing did not develop properly and is considerably smaller than his right wing. While he was still only a baby his father left him and his mother to pursue a life of adventure. Trodden Trail began to grow under his mother's guidance in the small mining town which consisted almost exclusively of earth ponies. Being the odd ball species that he was other foals would tease him while the adults would shake their heads at the strange creature. Due to this social ostracization he developed a very close bond with his mother.

By the time Trodden Trail was a folt (fawn colt) his mother became very ill. He would do many things to keep his mother amused like writing stories and drawing pictures. He would cook for her, and fix things around their home. Months passed and she was still very sick and getting worse until she could barely move. None of the earth pony doctors in the small town could figure out how to cure the mysterious illness. Trodden Trail was devastated and tried everything to make her better. He tried everything he could think of, read all the medical books in the Neighnaimo library but still nothing worked. One day while cleaning their home he stumbled across a box of strange things. Dream catchers and native trinkets, the box belonged to his father. At the bottom of the box was an old journal. Trodden Trail took the journal and began to read through the pages. In it he found a page about a magical herb that could be used to cure a common but deadly ailment in the western coast, hoofing cough. The herb grew on the tops of cliffs near the ocean. Trodden Trail rushed into town with his new found information in search of a pegasus who could fly to the top of the cliffs to get the herb; but to his dismay the only other pegasi in town had left to deliver some parcels to Canterlot. At his wits end Trodden Trail made up his mind. He would go into the forest, all the way to the coast and get the herb himself.

The next morning he kissed his mum good bye and set off on his journey to retrieve the herb. It was a perilous journey at least a five day's trek, the forest was filled with wolves and mountain lions but Trodden Trail was determined. He summoned his courage and dashed into the unknown. Out running wolves and out smarting mountain lions he finally, made it to the cliffs along the coast. The cliffs were steep and jagged but way up high sat the lovely little herb. Trodden Trail began his accent up the cliff, slipping and catching himself multiple times. He finally reached near the top but had nothing more to climb. He stretched out his body as far as it could and strained his neck to reach then CRACK the rocks beneath him began to give way! He used the last of his strength to lunge and grab the herb in his teeth before toppling down the side of the cliff. As the dust settled a frail brown body lay motionless, but in his mouth was the beautiful blue herb. On the horizon a group of three pegasi saw the cliff side collapse and the courageous young buck. Nudging the small body the pegasi tried to wake him. Trodden Trail slowly regained consciousness, he looked around in a daze still holding the herb in his mouth. Not far him lay and odd but familiar thing, a small tan antler partially covered in blood. One pegasus scooped the Trodden Trail onto his back while another grabbed his antler and the last gently took the herb from the semi-conscious boy. They all took off and headed back to town.

When they finally arrived the pegasi explained to the townsponies what had happened. The doctors quickly took the herb and prepared the medicine described in the journal meanwhile another bandaged up Trodden Trail's head. They gave him the medicine and Trodden Trail enthusiastically limped back to his home where his mother would be waiting. He gave her the medicine and a beautiful blue light enveloped the pegasus mare. She woke up and looked at her bandaged son who just smiled with tears in his eyes. She hugged him tightly and cried softly scolding him for being so reckless but kissing him and thanking him. The towns ponies congratulated Trodden Trail on his courage and selflessness.

Years passed and Trodden Trail was ready to leave his home. He would search for his father to tell him of what had transpired in the past and seek out his own future. Eventually he came to the city of Trottawa where he fell in love with a unicorn stallion, and leads a happy life with his friends, writing to his mother often about his adventures, still in search of his father.
